Hello Fencers and families!
JULY is Foil class! Time to put aside the Epee and don a Lamé. Those that haven't had a class with coach Josh are in for a treat on the 5th. While Coach Bill is at Nationals with Elliot and Trevor, Coach Josh will be filling in.
NEED EXTRA COACHING? Your coaches are available to provide one-on-one coaching. Rates are $25.00 per 15 minute coaching block. Contact your coach for scheduling. This is a great way to figure out that tricky parry or learn what to work on to become competition ready!

SAVE THE DATE: August 10, 2024
High Plains Fencing Guild is planning its first sanctioned competitive tournament.
It will be held at the Library Innovation Center in Greeley. We are also planning to hold a youth tournament (10 and under) followed by an older youth tournament (11-13). These are non-sanctioned, which means that the winner will not receive national ranking, but will be a wonderful opportunity to showcase the great talent that we have in these age groups.
Sign up information will be sent separately. The youth tournaments will be capped at 12 participants. The sanctioned adult tournament (14+) will be capped at 16 participants. Access membership at a minimum is required for the non-sanctioned tournaments. Competition membership in USA Fencing is required for the adult sanctioned tournament.

In June, Bridget Garcia and Craig Nutt came to the tournaments and served as referees. Armorer Trevor is heading up the August Tournament and doing a great job.
